Oregon Rural Action Hosts AG Policy Teach-ins

February 23, 2013 No Comments

As the Oregon legislative session ramps up and the federal Farm Bill lingers in Congress there are many current and upcoming food and agriculture policy issues poised to impact producers and eaters.

Oregon Rural Action, a community organization based in La Grande, will be hosting a series of ag policy “teach-ins” in Joseph, La Grande and Baker City to provide information and spur discussion and civic engagement on important legislative issues. The first discussion will be held prior to Slow Food Wallowas film showing of Vanishing of the Bees on February 26th at 6:30PM the Josephy Center located at 403 N. Main St. in Joseph. The second Ag Policy Teach-In is February 27th upstairs at Mt Emily Ale House starting at 5:30PM.

Thanks!

Take care,

Nella
