Neat Stuff – Restaurant: Impossible

August 4, 2011 No Comments

Eastern Oregon University Small Business Development Center (EOU SBDC) would like to invite you to watch a Food Network show called Restaurant: Impossible.

Beginning in January 2011, Chef Robert Irvine, from Restaurant: Impossible, a prime-time Food Network series has been traveling throughout the country revitalizing restaurants, in a state of serious decline, in only two days with just $10,000.

“This show is a great tool for any business, even those that are not restaurant owners. The principles of marketing and critical thinking can be applied to any business plan.” – Greg Smith, EOU SBDC Director

Chef Irvine assures both the business owner and their employees that a complete transformation will occur. He and his design team first review the restaurant in full operation in order to establish which areas need the most attention. Afterwards, menus are brought up to date; the kitchen and wait staff is retrained, at the same time the design team moves in to renovate the interior of the establishment. Marketing ideas are laid out and Chef Irvine then visits people in the community, letting them know of the changes being made to the restaurant and encourages all to attend the grand re-opening.

Currently, Restaurant: Impossible is accepting casting calls for restaurateurs who may be interested in having Chef Irvine come to their business. You can apply here to be considered.
