The Nightingale Gallery presents “Quietude”, La Grande, Feb 8
Gallery director, Cory Peeke, curated this exhibition that features six artists whose works communicate a quiet atmosphere. The show runs through March 1, and can be seen during the reception from 6-8pm or during regular gallery hours, Monday-Friday, 11am-4pm.

EOU Basketball, La Grande, Feb 8
The Mountaineers tip-off against the College of Idaho in Quinn Coliseum. Women start at 5:30pm, and men start at 7:30pm.
Eastern Oregon Backcountry Festival, Union County, Feb 8-10
This is a 3 day festival presented by Eastern Oregon University’s Outdoor Program. It starts Saturday at 7pm with a film festival at EOU’s Gilbert Center. Saturday head to Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort for an Uphill/Downhill Race at 8:30am and Backcountry clinics at 1pm. Stay for Social Sunday with a ski tour and photo contest. All proceeds go to the Wallowa Avalanche Center.
